South Florida has a brand new show that is set to take the city by storm. EW Freeman and Jeff Fox make up The Sports Brothers, and they can be heard daily on Miami’s 790 the Ticket, and online at www.790theticket.com. Their on air names may not sound familiar, but their other names will. EW Freeman is none other than Ed the World Famous. The other name is a little easier. Jeff Foxx, is longtime Miami club DJ Jeff Fox.
The two met about 2 years ago while working at another radio station. After the station was sold, 790 the Ticket picked up their show on a part time basis. Now they hold down the full time midday slot during the weekdays.
“South Florida was missing the Black voice in local sports talk radio, and we are looking to fill that void”, says Jeff Fox.
Being that the two have a music background, they fuse a lot of new and classic music into their show. And what goes better with sports than hip hop? On any given day you can hear the Sports Brothers interviewing artist like Rick Ross, Trick Daddy, Uncle Luke, among others.
“Athletes and music go hand in hand, and 790 the Ticket is not only a sports station, it’s a lifestyle station”, says Ed the World Famous (EW Freeman). “We do sports talk, but we’ll talk about what’s happening in entertainment news, world news, as well as sports news”.
